Security will be tight at Coke games

Students participating at the Coca Cola games on Friday will be under close scrutiny.

Director Police Operations, SSP Rusiate Tudravu says they had met this morning to discuss about the security of students before and after the meet.

Tudravu says police officers accompanying students from the islands to the capital and will be with them for the duration of the games.

This is done to minimise certain incidents that could arise after the event.

Tudravu adds, apart from the students, bus companies transporting students to the National Stadium and nightclub owners will also be under the spotlight.

Over 2,000 athletes will be competing in the two-day event while more than 5,000 spectators will be in support.
