PM highlights Fiji’s global recognition

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says Fiji’s recent election to the Human Rights Council is a global recognition of our progress in upholding the human rights of every Fijian.

Fiji is the first Pacific Island nation to be elected in the Human Rights Council.

Bainimarama says Fiji’s election to the Council speaks volume of our rapid growth.

“We should all be proud that the world has recognized our tremendous progress in upholding the basic rights and dignity of Fijians everywhere.”

Bainimarama is calling on all Fijians to work together and ensure that human rights are protected.
