Plans are in place to set up Walesi in schools in the remote areas.

Education Minister, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has revealed this saying that many educational programmes will be aired through the Walesi platform.

Sayed-Khaiyum says this will also help in improving English.

“So ten o’clock you switch on the TV you will get your English lessons coming on and as we have highlighted previously the level of English in Fiji has deteriorated significantly and we need to be able to ensure that the level of English improves”

Sayed-Khaiyum says there are other initiatives in place to improve the education system.
