Police have recovered the body of a child from waters off Vatutavoi in Ba yesterday afternoon.

A woman discovered the partly decomposed body while catching crabs.

The body was found stuck in nearby mangroves.

She then alerted the Police.

The child’s body is being kept at the Tavua Hospital Mortuary.

A post mortem examination will be conducted soon.
