Public submissions on Code of Conduct Bill to continue in the West

Public submissions are now open for the Code of Conduct Bill.

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Justice, Law and Human Rights will travel to the West from Monday to receive submissions.

The Bill which was tabled in Parliament last month sets out to provide a uniform code of conduct for all public office holders.

Under the Bill, an Accountability and Transparency Commission will be established.

The Committee is scheduled to hear oral submissions on the Bill in Lautoka from Monday at the City Council.

On Tuesday, the committee is scheduled to be in Nadi at the Town Council.

On Wednesday, the committee will be in Labasa and in Savusavu on Thursday.
