MSBG has impacted 193,180 Fijian lives: Kumar

More than thirty-eight thousand Fijians have been assisted through the Micro and Small Business Grants.

Minister for Industry and Trade, Premila Kumar highlighted the various initiatives undertaken to develop the grassroots communities and young entrepreneurs in parliament today.

Kumar says the small, micro and medium enterprises has become a source of employment for many Fijians.

She adds that this sector contributes 18 percent towards the country’s GDP.

“The MSBG has impacted the lives of up to 193,180 Fijians. The assistance has been far-reaching to the smallest of the businesses that have been recognized to have the capability to make a difference.”

More than thirty-eight million dollars has been invested in this initiative.
