Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has hit back at Opposition Leader Sitiveni Rabuka in parliament today.

During his Right of Reply, Bainimarama said Rabuka has shown his true colours in criticizing President Jioji Konrote’s address in the House.

“I was relieved to finally see him drop the charade of “statesmanship” and expose the ugly nature of his true character. He has proved he is still the man history will always remember him to be; a selfish, short-sighted and hateful ethnic supremacist.”

After sitting through a week of attacks from the majority of the Opposition today, Bainimarama pulled no punches.

“He is leading the rest of the members of the Opposition down a blind alley and they really don’t know what the snake has in store for them. The Leader of the Opposition has the gall to ask for my resignation and the rats are following the Merry Piper.”

The Prime Minister says he is proud of everything he has done for Fiji during the military government, the Bainimarama interim government and now the FijiFirst.
