Over $530m in tourism earnings for September quarter

Tourism earnings stood at over five hundred and thirty million dollars for the September quarter of 2017, an increase of over 27 percent.

According to the Fiji Bureau of Statistics the earnings was 29.5 percent higher than the amount recorded for the June quarter.

Australia was the highest contributor as earnings went up by 28.3 percent standing at around two hundred and seventy-two million dollars.

New Zealand went up by 25.8 percent to one hundred and eight point four million dollars and the USA was up by twenty-four point nine percent to fourty-one point one million dollars.

Continental Europe went up by around 23 percent to $21.5m.
