The Fiji National Provident Fund is yet to receive around eight million dollars from over 1, 500 employers as employee contributions.

Manager Compliance, Peni Gonelevu says this figure was derived following a compliance check.

“Some are already in court awaiting judgement or ruling and that’s why we have come up with this initiative of penalty waiver for three months. People can come forward voluntarily and pay off the debt without any penalty incurred."

Gonelevu says the penalties for an employer is $100 per employee for each breach.
