An unemployed man who is alleged to have robbed a woman in Valelevu this month has been remanded in custody.

Seremaia Waqaisavou is charged with aggravated robbery.

On the 2nd of this month, the woman was walking along Nasinu Road, when the accused allegedly grabbed her bag and ran off.

The total amount of cash and items stolen was more than three thousand dollars.

The man is remanded until the 19th of this month when he will be produced at the Suva High Court for mention.
