The Health Ministry officials are now visiting flood affected homes and spraying disinfectant to prevent diseases.

The Ministry has partnered with relevant agencies to create awareness on post flooding diseases.

Apart from disinfecting homes and evacuation centres in both the western and central division, health officials have been monitoring these divisions to prevent any major disease outbreak.

The DISMAC office today confirmed that health facilities in the western division are functioning normally.
