A minivan driver who is alleged to have caused the death of 24 year old woman in a road accident in Viseisei, Lautoka last weekend has been charged.

The 35 year old accused has been charged with one count of dangerous driving occasioning death, one count of failing to comply with requirements following an accident, one count of driving with an expired drivers license and one count of driving a motor vehicle without being covered under the 3rd party policy risk.

He is expected to be produced at the Lautoka Magistrates Court this morning.

The accused allegedly fled the scene of the accident and was arrested in Suva on Monday.
