Man with disabilities pleads guilty to rape

A man with disabilities charged with one count of rape and one count of sexual assault pleaded guilty to his charges in the Suva High Court today.

The man in his early 20’s took his plea through the assistance of a sign language interpreter.

It is alleged the man unlawfully and indecently sexually assaulted and raped a thirteen-year old boy in Navua on March 12th.

The matter has been adjourned to November 20th.
