The Land Transport Authority has seized 20 vehicles which were operating illegally.
This includes eight taxis, two minibuses, two private minivans and eight unregistered vehicles.
LTA Chief executive Naisa Tuinaceva has issued a stern warning to drivers who are violating their permit conditions that they can face harsh penalities if guilty.
Tuinaceva says laws are constructed to provide an order, structure, safety for all that use our roads and the benefits are for everyone.
Tuinaceva says the penalty for the drivers who are guilty of the offence is a $50 spot fine and up to $500 in fines when the matter goes before the courts.
