Lomaiviti Princess V has not been given the clearance yet by the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji to resume its services to Taveuni.

In a statement last night, MSAF says for the past five days they have been working with the Goundar Shipping Limited staff trying to get the vessel to comply with the Maritime Regulations.

MSAF says the incompetence of Goundar Shipping Services is making it difficult to fast track compliance.

The statement says MSAF staff are dedicating their time and effort to help GSL ships and companies comply with the Regulations.

All of Goundar’s remaining ships have not been inspected.
