A heavy rain warning is now in force for the Lau and Lomaiviti group, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands.

It is also in force for the Eastern and interior parts of Viti Levu.

The Fiji Met Office says tropical depression 06F was analyzed about 450km Northeast of Cikobia at 3am today.

It is currently moving towards Vanuabalavu at about 30km/hr and the centre is expected to be over the Northern Lau waters by later today.
