In his closing address, assistant Minister for Rural & Maritime Development and National Disaster Management, Joeli Cawaki reiterated government’s commitment to develop Fiji’s rural and remote communities.

Meanwhile, the people of Namosi also had the opportunity to raise their concerns directly with government during the road show.

This was made possible through an organized talanoa session led by the Ministry of Rural & Maritime Development and National Disaster Management Acting Permanent Secretary, Setareki Tale.

Some of the issues that were raised with government include rural electrification, payment of lease money, road upgrading and gravel extraction.
