Fiji has lost a lot opportunities in the past due to our irrelevance while dealing with international relations.

While speaking to participants of the Protocol, High Level Visits Planning and VIP Drivers training, Minister for Defence, Inia Seruiratu, says this should change and it depends on us.

Seruiratu says the world is changing rapidly and people should move along with these changes in order to be relevant.

“For Fiji to be relevant, the paradigm must shift, the paradigm of leadership must shift, and the paradigm of every civil servant must shift. The paradigm of every diplomat must shift and the paradigm of every citizen must shift. We must see things differently.”

Seruiratu says changing the way we think, feel, and behave will have a great impact in what we do.

He urged participants to move with changes in order for them to manage their relationships with other countries.
