The younger sister of one of the victim’s involved in the gruesome fatal accident in Nabou, Sigatoka yesterday is still trying to come to terms with what happened.

Akanisi Roma told FBC News she did not even get a chance to say goodbye to her brother as they had left for Suva early in the morning.

“I received a call earlier today (yesterday) that my elder brother and my cousin brother were involved in an accident and they were taken to the hospital. And just this afternoon (yesterday) we were informed that they both have passed on.”

Thirty-four-year-old Sanaila Ruitoka was among the six who died following the accident yesterday.

His wife Vilimaina Tabua says she could not hold back her tears when she received the tragic news.

Vilimaina says before her husband left yesterday, he was showing too much affection to her and their kids which was usually not the case when he went anywhere.

Ruitoka is survived by his wife Vilimaina and three children.
