Meanwhile, Lautoka Police Station Director Community Policing, Penijamini Vukivou is now urging people to take heed of the weather reports.

“Certain areas particularly low lying areas were flooded as of this afternoon. And we will be on stand-by to be of assistance to people if need be. People should also remain wary of the weather and move to higher grounds if they have and not to take any chances.”

Reports coming from the western division say the rain is heavy there and most are already taking precautionary measures.
