A 17-year-old teenager of Kalabu will be produced at the Nausori Magistrates Court today.

He allegedly stole items worth over $18,000 from a woman who fell asleep while traveling in a minibus last week.

The victim was a passenger in the minibus and was traveling along the Suva-Nausori corridor on Saturday morning when the alleged incident took place.

The 26-year-old woman fell asleep and discovered her personal items missing when she woke up.

The stolen items included a GPS machine worth over $17,000.

Investigators tracked the accused to his home in Kalabu and allegedly found the GPS machine in his possession.

The accused has been charged with one count of theft.
