A prominent Suva lawyer charged with unlawful possession of illicit drugs will now be produced at the Suva Magistrates court on Monday.

This has been confirmed by police spokesperson Ana Naisoro.

The lawyer was charged following a raid at his house on Nailuva Road on Thursday.

The accused was found with white substances that later tested positive for methamphetamine and dried leaves that tested positive for marijuana.

He remains in police custody.
