Two men alleged to have murdered 23-year-old Isikeli Rabuka in Korovuto Nadi this month, have opted for private counsel to represent them.

Eroni Vaqewa and Emoni Saukiwere who are charged with one count each of murder made their first appearance at the Lautoka High Court today.

The prosecution has sought time to file the information and disclosure.

It is alleged that the two were drinking with Rabuka on the 1st of this month when an altercation broke out.

The two are alleged to have beaten Rabuka to death.

Vaqewa and Saukiwere have both been further remanded.

The case will be called again on the 10th of next month.
