Police are requesting for information from the public to identify a child or a woman on a Facebook post reported to them last week.

The post shows a child tied to a pole and is captioned as punishment for not doing something the child was told to by his mother.

The crying boy seems about 4 years old and has his wrists and waist tied by a string.

Adults are also seen eating while the child is tied up.

Spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirms they have managed to receive some information however anyone who can assist further is requested to call the Criminal Investigations Department Cyber Crime Unit on 3315599.
