Police say a pedestrian is believed to have died following an accident at Valelevu in Nasinu at mid-day today.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says it is believed that a person has died while others received serious injuries.

The family was walking along the road when a driver allegedly ran them down.

Naisoro confirms the driver is in police custody.
