$284k bonus payment for Fiji Ports Terminal Limited staff

Almost two hundred and seventy staff at the Fiji Ports Terminal Limited received a bonus payout of $284,000.

The bonus payment is in addition to the already paid $283,000 performance payout three months ago.

Attorney General and Minister for Public Enterprises Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum encouraged the staff to continue giving their best performance.

“It is very important for all of us to understand that if productivity increases than everybody benefits, if the productivity level of the board increases, if the company makes enough money to buy better equipment it makes your work in life easier. If you have better equipment you have greater productivity, not only with profits increase but you will have more and more ships coming to Fiji.”

Fiji Ports Terminal Limited Chairman Hasmukh Patel says bonus payment is in recognition to those who have made significant contribution towards improving port efficiency and productivity.

Patel says they will continue to encourage the staff by giving various incentives.
