Western Suburbs hunt for Crompton Cup

April 2, 2015 4:52 am

The Western Suburbs cricket side is hoping it will not leave our shores empty-handed at the end of the LICI Easter Cricket Championships in Suva.

One of three overseas teams, Western Suburbs from Brisbane, Australia, is competing for the third year in a row and captain, Mathew Dyson says his side is aiming to wrest the Crompton Cup from two-time champions, Moce.

“We’ve never made the final so we’re really hoping that we can do it this year. We got off to a good start against the Suva Islanders but we really want to do well and take home the Crompton Cup.”
