We should play the whole minute of the game: McKee

Fiji Airways Flying Fijians coach John McKee says they need to maintain their momentum and play the whole minute of play.

Despite their win over Samoa 24-22 in their opening match of the Pacific Nations Cup over the weekend, McKee says his side dominated in the first half scoring three tries and then Samoa dominated in the second spell scoring three tries and Fiji only scored a try.

McKee says this is a concern and they really need to remain consistent in the whole 80-minute of the game.

“Credit to the Samoan team. They were disappointed in the first half and certainly they got a lot of energy in the second half and put us under pressure and we have to work on this and try and up our game in the full minute of the game.”

Meanwhile, Samoa takes on Tonga at 1 pm while Fiji battles Georgia at 3pm on Saturday at Suva’s ANZ Stadium.
