Nadroga flyhalf, Alifereti Veitokani is looking forward to making his Vodafone Fiji 7s debut in the Dubai 7s tournament this weekend.

The 23 year old says he faced one of the most trying times in his playing career in order to make the transition from 15-a-side rugby to the abbreviated code and earn a call-up into the final 12-member national squad.

“It’s totally tough because it’s different. Coming back to 7-a-side, I was getting more training and losing more weight from 15-a-side, which was very hard.”

Fiji’s first match in the Dubai 7s is against Canada at 6pm on Friday.
