Two players tested positive for drugs

The Fiji Football Association has suspended two players after they were tested drug positive yesterday.

Thirty two players altogether from the Premier and Senior Division were tested at the Courts Inter District Championship at ANZ Stadium in Suva.

Fiji FA Chief Executive, Mohammed Yusuf says both players are from the Senior Division and won’t feature in the tournament from today.

“Two of the players have been tested positive and they are the first time offenders. They will be given 30 days before they can appear for their next hearing.”

Meanwhile in the Senior Division games held so far, Navua has qualified to the semifinal beating Nadroga 4-1 while Savusavu held Tailevu Naitasiri 1-all.

In the Premier Division match currently underway Nadi leads Tavua 1-nil.

In other Premier Division matches, Ba meets Nasinu at 2pmwhile Suva plays Rewa at 6pm.
