Tough competition expected in day two of Savusavu 7s

Competitions at Day 2 of the Fiji Bitter Savusavu 7s today are expected to get tougher as teams are trying to get into the elimination round.

The FBC Under- 20 competitions rounded off its second pool games yesterday afternoon and the last pool matches will be played this morning.

Looking at the U20 results yesterday, Vueti Cakau continues its unbeaten run defeating Bilibili 12-0, Sting Ray beat Sabeto 7-5, Kui Ni Waimanu hammered FBC Gaunavou 33-0 while Sagale Babas won against St Bedes 15-5.

In the main competition, FB Gaunavou beat Laucala Blues 12-7, Buca held Covenant Brothers at 7-all, Naweni won against Somosomo Sharks 12-7, Savuiqali Marine won by default over Nadavaci, First Light Taveuni defeated Nasinu Brothers 12-5, FB Gaunavou Warriors beat St Theresa 5-0, Cross Of Victory won 19-7 against Cousteau 19-7.

Meanwhile, the second pool match of the main competition starts at 9 am where FBC Gaunavou meets Buca in the opening match. The finals will be held tomorrow where the winner will walk away with the trophy and five thousand dollars prize money.
