He is back, former Fiji 7s coach Iliesa Tanivula has been called in to replace defensive coach, Wise Kativerata.

This was revealed this afternoon by manager, Isei Rayawa.

“It’s nothing new to Tani, he;s been in Super Rugby and knows the insides and outs of 15s so he’s been in a lot of areas in 15s and he will defintiely contribute a lot to the success of this tournament.”

After being kicked out of the shortened code, Tanivula will lend his expertise to the Flying Fijians to the Pacific Nations Cup in Japan.

Kativerata has had to return to Australia for personal reasons.

He played an instrumental role with the Fiji Warriors during the Pacific Rugby Cup earlier this year.

Coach, Inoke Male is yet to reveal the names of 24 players who will travel to Japan while Otago-based halfback, Nemia Kenatale will join the team in Japan.

The announcement of the PNC team will most likely be done sometime this week as our final 24 gladiators leave our shores on Friday and try to wrestle the cup from 2011 winners, Japan.
