Fiji Airways men’s 7s Coach Gareth Baber says he will continue to scout for talented players who can fill the shoes of some of Fiji 7s stars who have moved on to play overseas.

Baber says despite losing players like Vatemo Ravouvou, he is confident there are many potential players in the country who can be trained and ultimately don the national jersey.

With only one leg left in the World Sevens Series, Baber says they will continue to look for potential players from local tournaments around the country.

“But ultimately I’ve got players here who can fill those shoes, showing the Fiji public – Livai is a prime example he’s done well here in Fiji in the domestic tournaments. He played well in the Marist 7s before he came in to join us. I thought he was exceptional when he was put under the pump in both Hong Kong and Singapore.”

The Fiji side is currently in camp as they prepare for the London 7s tournament which will be held on the 25th to the 27th of this month.
