Pacific sprint king, Banuve Tabakaucoro is tipping Gospel High School’s Aaron Powell to claim the Blue Ribbon 100 metres event at the Coca Cola Games this week.

Tabakaucoro, won the event once in 2011 for Marist Brothers High School, running a record time of 10.43 seconds, which still stands today.

“For all the athletes competing this year, it will be very tough for them. We have one athletes in particular, Aaron Powell who has a lot of experience in the 100 metres event. He’s a national athlete as well so he will be one to watch out for during the two days.”

Other top bets for the boy’s 100 metres event are Ratu Kadavulevu School’s Penijamini Narube and Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute’s Josevata Lalawa.

The Coca Cola games will be held at the ANZ Stadium in Suva on this Friday and Saturday and you can watch it live on FBC TV.
