Suva pleased with players performance

The Suva football side is pleased with the performance of its players in the Rewa Galaxy Premier League this season.

Although the capital city side could not retain its league title but did enough to finish in second spot and qualify for next seasons OFC Champions League.

Coach Gurjit Singh was pleased with his player’s performance in the 3-1 win over Lautoka yesterday.

“We came determined as we wanted to seal the victory today (yesterday). We have got another game in hand but we wanted to win today so we don’t play under pressure in the last game. The boys worked really hard. They played really well in the second half even though we were losing 1-nil but we picked up, they worked hard and scored three excellent goals.”

Meanwhile in other matches played yesterday, Nadi defeated Ba 3-1 while Rewa beat Nadroga 4-0.
