Fiji 7s will face a mammoth task in Hamilton

Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber believes their opponents will throw everything to beat them in the pool games of the Hamilton tournament in New Zealand.

Baber says they need to have the right mind set and be focused on the task ahead.

“The players are aware there is six finals we have to play and we will prepare today, recover and make sure we in the right mind for tomorrow morning’s games.”

The Fiji 7s side won the Cape Town title after 13 years last month when they defeated USA 29-15 in the final.

They are also the defending champions of the Hamilton tournament, after beating South Africa 24-17 last year.

Meanwhile, the Fiji 7s side is pooled with Australia, Wales and Argentina at the Hamilton tournament.
