Schools basketball heats up

The last round of pool games of the Tuckers Secondary Schools Basketball Championships takes place today in Suva.

In the Under-19 grade, schools in both boys and the girls grades will be trying to rack up the points to progress to the quarter-finals tomorrow.

In the U15 and U17 divisions, the top four teams will qualify for the respective semi-finals.

After two days of competition, in the U15, Yat Sen Secondary in the boys and Latter Day Saints and Gospel High in the girl’s look impressive.

In the U17 boy’s, LDS and Marist along with LDS girls are looking good.

The U19 should be a tight affair with all the big guns like defending girls champions Adi Cakobau, will have to up their game.
Games today start at 8.30am.
