The Savusavu football side hopes to win the Courts Inter District Championship Senior Division title after 16 years.
The side has been one of the inform teams after qualifying as the North winners during the Senior Division play-offs this year.
Savusavu has played in the final only one’s in 2002 when they defeated Tailevu Naitasiri 2-1 at Govind Park in Ba.
The side has the services of players like former Navua and Labasa rep Pene Erenio plus regulars like Riyaz Ali, Salesh Naidu, Iliavi Katonibau and goalkeeper Kaair Khan.
Savusavu faces Lami in its first match at 11.30am at ANZ Stadium in Suva tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the Premier Division also starts tomorrow where Rewa plays Tavua at 1.30pm, Labasa faces Nasinu at 3.30pm, Suva meets Nadi at 6pm and Lautoka will battle Ba in the last match of day one at 8pm.
