Ronald Terubea has won the Rajesh Parmeshwar Memorial Chess tournament for the first time.

Terubea was crowned the champions winning the Men’s Open division, after a tie break.

Calvin Prasad came second while Manoj Kumar was third and Hilda Vukikomoala won the womens division title.

Fiji Chess Federation President, Calvin Prasad says he was happy with the turnout of the players on the competition day.

“This year around we have had a full turn out, our strongest players have participated and it has been a strong competition overall.”

These players will also take part in the Chess festival in Nadi next month.
