RKS sets sights on defending champions

Ratu Kadavulevu School is out to stop reigning champions, Ratu Navula College during their Coke Zero Deans rugby Under-18 semi-final on Saturday.

The boys from Lodoni defeated Suva Grammar 48- 17 in the quarter-final and now are one step away from the final.

RKS principal Beniamino Tawake says they are prepared for the match against Ratu Navula.

“This one will prove to Ratu Navula that last year was supposed to be ours. And this year is to get back the Deans trophy to Ratu Kadavulevu School.”

Meanwhile, Ratu Navula principal Setareki Merekula says they are in for a tough match against RKS.

“This semi final as we all know that the prestigious cup is at stake again, so we are the champion. Because of the nature of the competition, the cup is at stake again. And because of that the boys will play to the very best to see to the defending of the cup.”

The other semi-final will feature Queen Victoria taking on Lelean Memorial School.

The games will be held at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
