Ravouvou trusts players to achieve success

The Vodafone Fiji Under-20 side will head into the Oceania Rugby Junior Trophy tournament in Suva as favorites this weekend.

National coach, Salimoni Ravouvou says the team has come through a solid one month of training in Sigatoka to not only defend its home turf against Tonga, Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea but also qualify for the Junior World Trophy in Zimbabwe next year.

“We’ve picked the best 26 players who went through the training, the core skills and have produced what we wanted from them.”

Fiji will take on PNG in its opening game in the Oceania Rugby Junior Trophy competition at 5pm on Friday at the ANZ Stadium.
