The Fiji Rugby Union has yet to receive an official confirmation that Semi Radradra will join the Flying Fijians in the Autumn Nations Cup.

Radradra was initially named in the Flying Fijians squad but he limped out of the closing stages of Bristol’s Challenge Cup final win over Toulon two weeks ago.

According to a statement released by the Bristol Bears, Radradra sustained a hamstring injury in the European title victory and the centre will be ruled out until the end of this month.

However, FRU Chief Executive John O’Connor says they are still awaiting Radradra’s medical report.

French media outlet RMC Sport reported, Radradra is understood to have made a rapid recovery from a serious hamstring injury and is set to take his place in the Fiji squad to take on France in their opening Autumn Nations Cup match next week.

O’Connor says he can’t confirm the news because FRU has yet to receive anything official regarding Radradra.

If Radradra is cleared to play, then it puts back onto the pitch the potential mid-field clash between fellow him and Virimi Vakatawa who has become a key figure in French backline.

Radradra and Vakatawa are rated two of the most dangerous centers in world rugby at the moment.

Fiji play France at 3am next Sunday.

The Flying Fijians will then meet Italy on the 21st and the last match against Scotland at Murrayfield on the 28th of this month.

Meanwhile, defending Skipper Cup champions Suva will host Namosi on Saturday at the ANZ Stadium and Naitasiri play Nadroga at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.

Both men’s semifinals will air LIVE and EXCLUSIVE on FBC Sports and FBC TV.

The Suva women’s will play Naitasiri while Lautoka takes on defending champions Tailevu.

In the under-19 semifinals, Suva meet Nadroga Namosi faces Nadi.
