Former Fiji 7s and Olympic gold medal winning Coach Ben Ryan believes the New Zealand side studied the national team well before coming into the semi-final in the World Cup yesterday.

Ryan says the All Black coaching staff did a great work and the players executed it well on the field as they beat the Fiji 22-17.

“Craig Laidlaw has done well it came from his hard work and his boys executed it, Fiji are unbelievable but New Zealand managed to suffocate and got their chances.”

Former New Zealand star and World Rugby Sevens series commentator, Karl Te Nana says they All Blacks shut the Fiji in all aspects of the game yesterday.

“I think the analysis done by the New Zealand management they had to do that because physically Fiji got then and Fiji were deep on the bench but New Zealand made a perfect start and they got it quick in the game.”

The Fiji 7s side finished fourth after losing out to South Africa 24-19 in the bronze medal play-offs while New Zealand were crowned the champions thumping England 33-12 in the final.

Fiji missed out on the Commonwealth Games gold medal in April, then slipped away from winning the World Rugby Sevens Series title and, then side failed to win the World Cup.
