Navua with all local stars in Fiji FACT

A late win over the Stallions in the National Football League match last week has boosted the Navua team’s morale to prepare for Fiji FACT.

Navua soccer president, Gopal Naidu says the team consists mostly of young local players who admit it the tournament will be an uphill battle.

“We can’t underestimate any other teams because in this 60 minute games, it’s any body’s game. The one who scores first will be getting tougher and as for our first match, we are up against Ba and Ba is a tough team".

Navua plays Ba in their opening match at Churchill Park on Sunday at 2pm.

Other first round games sees Nadroga take on Tavua at 11am, Nadi battle Suva at 12.30pm while Lautoka clashes the defending champions Rewa at 3.30pm.
