The Fiji National Rugby League Association is urging local clubs to register their teams early for the Rugby League Nines tournament this weekend.

Fiji National Rugby League Operations Manager Joe Savou says they are expecting 32 teams to compete.

“We are making our stand that tomorrow afternoon will be the last day to get in the registration fees and if we don’t make the numbers, we will be cancelling the games.”

Nadi’s Malawai Sea Eagles, Nadroga’s Tagaqe Eels and two teams from Raiwai have confirmed their participation in the tournament.

The Rugby League Nines Tournament will be held at Suva Grammar School grounds on Saturday.
