Vodafone Fiji 7s captain Osea Kolinisau is leaving Fiji to play his future rugby in the United States of America.

Letting the cat out of the bag, USA’s Houston Strikers official twitter page released Kolinusau’s signing tweeting “Houston Strikers are pleased to announce the signing of Olympic 7s gold medal winning captain @Osea Kolinisau.".

FBC understands former Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan and Joeli Veitayaki played a major role in Kolinisau’s signing with the American club.

Meanwhile, Fiji Rugby Union Chief Executive John O’Connor says he’s unaware of the news and will await confirmation from the Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber.

Attempts to contact Baber have been futile.
