Tries Mereula Torooti, Naina Baleca and Vasiti Solikoviti avoided Fiji from finishing last in the tournament.

The side were bundled out of challenge trophy going down to China by 12-10.

Meanwhile, the New Zealand women’s team beat Canada 26-14 in a pulsating final to win its fourth Dubai title.

Canada is second 34 points, USA third 32 points and Australia is in fourth place with 28 points.

Fiji is second last on the table with 5 points four in-front of bottom placed Kenya.
