The odds are stacked against the Digicel Fiji 7s team and the side is well aware of what to expect in pool play during the South Africa tournament this weekend.
Team manager Semi Rogoyawa says the loss in Dubai was an eye opener for the side and now the focus is on the tough pool outing in Port Elizabeth.
Fiji is pooled with New Zealand, England and Scotland and two losses could see the side play in the bowl competition for the first time ever in the series.
“As you can see no teams are easy teams nowadays like before. All the team are prepared well so we have to treat all the teams equally. And come on Saturday we can’t take any team lightly and you need to maintain your form and beat them.”
Meanwhile, at the tournament, Fiji plays England in its first pool match at 10.22 pm on Saturday before battling Scotland at 1.28am on Sunday.
The final pool match is against the All Blacks Sevens at 5.52am.
