Cricket Fiji is hoping to continue it Elite Player League this weekend after being disrupted by rain over the weekend.

CEO Sonny Henderson says the players were disappointed but are optimistic that they will be able to continue this weekend.

He adds the EPL will help selectors choose a national team for the B-division World Cup next year.

Henderson says unlike yesteryears, Cricket Fiji wants to start working with the national team at least six months before a major tournament.
