USP says the BDO report resulted in a range of findings and recommendations that needs to be addressed to ensure the sound operation of the University.

It says the Commission will be overseen and report regularly to a Committee of Council comprising of the Prime Minister of Cook Islands, Henry Puna, the Deputy Prime Minister of Samoa, Fiame Naomi Mata’afa (Chairperson) and the Attorney General of Fiji, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.

The universe says the commission will develop an action plan, which will be made publicly available, to be implemented over the coming year.

It further adds that the Council may choose to extend the term of the Commission should it be necessary.

Meanwhile, a summary of the BDO Auckland Report will be made publicly available in due course.
